For over five years Brenden booked, coordinated, promoted, and hosted a popular weekly/monthly hip hop event at Luckey’s Club in downtown Eugene. With the help of his group The Architex he brought local and touring hip hop acts from all over the U.S. and Canada to the Luckey’s stage. He networked with artists, booking managers, bar staff and sponsors, as well as promoted and advertised the event via social media, local press and other grassroots methods. Private Stock and 2nd Nature became staple nightlife entertainment events and some of the longest running in Eugene history.

At BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Brenden caters and co-hosts beer tasting dinners and other high profile special events. He completed the BJ’s “Brew Genius” program, which has made him a brand advocate and beer knowledge resource for team members and guests. During tasting dinners, Brenden engages with attendants and speaks about different beer/food pairing characteristics, while providing background information on brew styles and brewing history. Each dinner focuses on a featured guest brewery, holiday theme or beer style. Average attendance is 30-40 people, though some have had turnouts upwards of 100. Executing these events requires special planning, careful preparation, and precise coordination between kitchen staff, service assistants, guest speakers and hosts.
